What do you do in the first hour of your day?
It is an important answer.
The first hour sets the stage for the rest of your day, and those days add up. Do you begin the day by scrolling through news stories and facebook? Think about it. If that answer is yes, then are you starting your day by reacting or creating? By creating, I mean creating the interactions you want to have, the thoughts you want to focus on, and the body you want to live in. Then getting to work with intention.
When we start the day by reacting, we create a flow of reaction.
When we start the day by taking charge of our bodies and minds, we start the day creating.
I challenge you to spend the next 7 days starting your day with intention. Move your body, plan your day, focus on your goals, and see if feels different!
Each day adds up to equal your life, so thinking through the things you do every morning is the most powerful way to create the life you want. The sun comes up every day. Our habits show up every day, and things we often think are little add up to something big.
Without a purpose in the morning routine, we become slaves to the rest of the world and lose ownership of our own experience.
Think it through.
Movement. Mindset. Nourishment. Purpose.
